This policy explains how BIGlogistics handles the personal data of people who visit this website, contact us or ask about the platform. We write in plain language and always say what each piece of data is used for.

Last updated: 12 October 2026Document under final review. It may change before final publication.

1. Who is the controller

The controller of your data is [denominação social a confirmar], tax number [NIF a confirmar], registered at [morada da sede a confirmar], which operates BIGlogistics, the logistics module of the BIGhub ecosystem.

For any question about personal data, write to contact@biglogistics.eu.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is needed:

  • Data you give us in the contact form: name, work email, company, phone (optional) and your message. The request also records the plan, volume or topic you picked, if any.
  • Technical data from sending the form: date and time, page language and IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Technical data from accessing the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, which servers log for security and operation.

We do not ask for payment data on this site and we do not collect special categories of data.

3. What we use the data for and on what legal basis

  • To answer your contact request and prepare a proposal or demo. Basis: pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse. Basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To comply with legal obligations, where applicable. Basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We make no automated decisions with legal effects about you and we do not sell your data.

4. Who we share data with

We only share data with those who need it to provide the service, always under contract and for the purposes above:

  • Our email delivery provider (Resend), which delivers form messages to our team.
  • The site hosting and infrastructure provider.
  • Companies in the BIGhub ecosystem, when your request concerns a BIGhub service or carrier contracts negotiated by BIGhub.

If you become a customer, the processing of your shipment and end-customer data is governed by the service terms and a separate data processing agreement. We may also disclose data to authorities where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some providers, such as the email delivery provider, may process data outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. In those cases we require adequate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or the provider's participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for details of the safeguards applied.

6. How long we keep data

  • Contact requests: up to 24 months after the last contact, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Technical security logs: up to 12 months.
  • Data needed to meet legal obligations, such as tax rules: for the period required by law.

When the period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for:

  • access to your data and a copy;
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erasure of data that is no longer needed;
  • restriction of processing;
  • portability of the data you gave us;
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdrawal of consent, where processing relies on it, without affecting what was done before.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@biglogistics.eu. We reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country; in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).

8. How we protect data

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to data to those who need it, keep the email service key out of the site's public code and filter the form against spam. No system is infallible; if a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the competent authority as the law requires.

9. Third-party services on this site

To display the site, we load third-party resources that receive your IP address when you visit:

  • Google Fonts (Google): provides the site's typeface.
  • YouTube (Google), in privacy-enhanced mode: an introduction video on the contact page, on large screens.

These services have their own privacy policies. More detail, including what happens in your browser, is in our Cookie Policy.

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date of the latest update is always shown at the top of the page. Questions or requests: contact@biglogistics.eu or +351 920 229 122.
